I hoped too, but sadly Chess didn't disable the chats while recording the match and the file is too big and long to edit it (almost 2h); so I guess you'll all have to enjoy the real final match between these two, including the clowning in chat.

And video is being uploaded on Youtube at the moment.

dude it was like watching a bunch of 10 year olds bully the nerdy kid on the playground. And you're all in your twenties. This game was the most hyped tourney final aw ever had. It was going up onto youtube. Who with any sense would want to go near a game with a community like that. Worse you're even a supporter.

It's also because of shit like this that I would be mortified if anyone i knew in the real world ever found out I played this game.

I don't know what went wrong but changing the speed of the video should not be difficult.

Any video editing software or even photoshop would do it easily.

Also Youtube enables to set video speed for watchers so it's not that vital even if you don't feel like googling.

I reduced the chat to one third of it's original size at T1 but stopped paying attention to it after as I didn't have any time to manage such things.
I didn't know it turned into ultimate cancer until I looked through the video.

It looked more like a bunch of retarded chimpanzees trying to get attention by spamming the same random shit over and over again.
Seemed like a fair representation of one part of the dueling community so far. Why try to hide it?

Dave seems to have become gradually more tolerant towards such behaviour after being subjected to so much drama the past few months.
At the end of the day it is his game and it will probably do fine with some consistently toxic players not changing their attitude.
League is quite successful with one of the worst online community so I don't see why atWar can't gain popularity like that as well.

TL:DR: AtWar can't afford to have such a toxic community cause it's much much smaller than league.

i've played league since 2015 so i have a lot to say about this

atwar does not have the same advantage league has, league can grow because in a lot of places it has massive audiences, people can convince their friends to play it, me and my friends alone convinced about over 100 people to play it over the years, most of them stayed, some of them played it just with us, league can grow with a toxic community because it's already massive and it's a team game, so people naturally want to get their friends involved, atwar does not have that.

atwar is a small browse single player game, most that join us don't have any friends here, the toxic community will drive them away, i know from my own experience and other people's experiences that the only reason they stayed is the friends they made, a lot of people would back me up on this, but if the community continues to become a toxic cesspool of trolling and flamewar, we will drive everyone that isn't a toxic troll away

even with league being successful and growing nobody is satisfied with the state of the community, and league has made some (although negligible) progress in fixing that issue with the new honour system(toxic players are matched with each other and vice versa) and punishments like mutes and bans for in-game toxicity, and i know a lot of people who were punished for toxicity in league, even my younger brother was permabanned for toxicity before, he learned the lesson.

Even there had to be a spam, including the negative one, due to number of spectactors, some people from there are described perfectly by your sentence.

Whatsmore, they started to spam even more and even worse once they realized the game is being recorded.
The complex of less value and attention seeking syndrome have risen up to the max, it seemed like they wanted their name to be visible in the video, independently of everything.
Whatever it was, we tried to warn, mute and clean the chats after some bigger crap has been said, but their heads couldn't realize they behaviour is maybe not proper for the match of that value, so they just continued.

All in all, we decided not to stop them anymore.
Everything is visible in the video, including the nicknames, so I would just like to say as conclusion: Every man is the architect of his own fortune (and reputation)

I recorded all of my games at least.
