Europeans and Football.

Hallo there: I was in Berlin during the USA v Germany WC match, and holy shit it got pretty crazy (at least to my standards). People were singing and chanting until 3 AM, there were police barriers, etc. So tell me: The bulk of you are European, why do you or your fellows go so nuts over Football? It was honestly extremely awesome to witness such excitement and celebration (and yes, I rooted for Germany).

P.S.: I got to check out Hertha BSC's quarters and you didn't!

You should see the streets here in Brazil, specially in the host cities. I've met a lot of Russians and Argelians yesterday night here in Curitiba. Bars and streets are crowded. That's the magic atmosphere only Football can create.

Rugby is the world's most barbaric sport. Soccer is a close second considering it's based off a game where adults would kick around a head dipped in acid. If you want to play a modern day version of that... except people like to bite each other and sit and cry about it (really shows how sophisticated your sport is)

American football is like chess. There are various different pieces that each perform a specific function. Soccer and rugby are like checkers. Every piece except one serves the same purpose and it is often played by those who do not have the skill to play chess. American football is the only sport that actually requires any sort of strategy considering it is played in downs. You guys just run around back and forth and every move is spontaneous.

Actually, no. The defensive backs and corners may blitz and break through the offensive line to attack the quarterback or running back (depending if the offense is rushing or passing) but that does not mean anything if they were strong enough to get past the offensive line. These men who are stronger an were able to penetrate the line does not mean they win. A skilled wide receiver or a skilled tight end may have gotten open in the time that the defense broke past the offensive line and the quarterback could have completed the pass resulting in a successful play.

Neymar and his way of taking penalty kicks is really geting on my nerve ....wtf is wrong with him? Thats not a correct way to take a penalty kicks any refere should know that.
