I have recently joined atwar, and found the tutorial unhelpful. I have worked out bits but am confused by the seemingly random appearance of available troops in different amounts in different cities. Money is odd because i don't see how much i have or where it comes from but i can spend it? Thanks for all help.

Here's a good guide that explains a lot: http://atwar-game.com/forum/topic.php?topic_id=24603 You'll fine the more you play the more you will learn how to do different things and the quicker you can accomplish them. The amount of money you have is in the lower right corner. This tells you how much you have and how much you make. You make more money by having more cities. You lose money by having a larger military for upkeep. Cities have both a populationa nd income which naturally gets larger over time, but can decrease if it experiences a battle. The more income it has, the more money you getw hen you own it. The higher the population, the more reinforcements you get.

When I joined atWar even I found the tutorial unhelpful. Unlike you who had the brains to check for, and post on, forums for aid, I (the great and wise Sith Lord - note the sarcasm) blundered through it learning a lot of the shortcuts and walling tactics by myself and by just playing (read: getting my ass handed to me on a silver platter). I discovered the forums only when I became a level 4 and I'm not kidding. AtWar + Ignorance = Massive Losses + Inexperience I wonder if atWar's original players in 2011-12 back when it was Afterwind had the same problems?

They all were on the same level so... I guess they didn't get their asses handed to them on silver platters.
