This image like many others NASA puts out are nonsense and do harm to their credibility. This is not a photo, it's a rendered image based on some ridiculous calculations and assumptions of what a certain part of space looks. The color is also fiction. Blacks holes supposedly absorb light, they would be difficult if not impossible to see. 1's and 0's were put into a super computer and this was was the result with a lot of tampering. The images we see of gas giants and other parts of the universe also also edited to look 'pretty' because they would be invisible to the naked eye.

I didn't know Black Hole is actually red light [insert Keanu Reeves meme]
