Hey Casual Players,
I am posting this message mainly to figure out if the following situation is recurrent, new, or a fluke.
Twice I hosted a casual game. Eu+ map, 48 hours, 10K, 2 players only, extra cities.
I think they are typical, well liked, competitive, attractive games, and I titled them appropriately: "Eu+ 48h 10K NoReinfT1 XCities".
However, during the 48 hour delay for turn 1, the only player needed to play never joined. Not a single one, over 48 hours!!
So my question is: is this something happening often to you, casual game hosts? Is the casual playerbase at the point where we can't even find a single player to play with, over 2 days?
I don't mean to complain, I was just curious and ... I guess I just needed a hug
PS: how could I miss the opportunity to mention that I just started another one (http://atwar-game.com/games/?link=2234422170), so feel free to join!! Thank you Zenith!!

I guess most people that play casual prefer playing on custom maps... just my hypothesis.

Maybe because the whole system of casual games is not verry friendly, you can not undo moves, you have to save your moves to make them happen. If you dont your moves dont go, alot of bugs happen in these occassions.

It's scary how many possible genocidal war lords play this game, and i could be one of them

How is a 48hr turn time not conducive with a work schedule? If anything a 48hr turn time allows a player even more flexibility to fit game time in around a hectic work schedule, whereas quick games, 1-12 min turn times is more of a hindrance to work and gaming. I really don't get your point of view.

Ok, you simply don't have enough time to play the game. That makes more sense, you want longer turns than 48hr. Doubt you will get anyone to play something longer than 48hr turns but hey to each his own.

I'm not sure that it's the pool of casual players, but the pool of casual players that want to play 1v1.
