So, what do you think about new strategy maybe ? I'd like to see this in AtWar. So how this strategy could work ? Well, by boosting defense critical damage, and therefor cost, while in same time decreasing attack power and range(but everything by large so it wouldn't become "Perfect Defense" strategy). So, this strategy, for me, would be like "Perfect Defense" on steroids, for instance:

Infantry - Attack:3, Defense:9, Critical:8, HP:11, Range:4, View:16, Capacity:0, Cost:110
Tanks - Attack:5, Defense: 4, Critical:5, HP:7, Range:5, View:16, Capacity:0, Cost:120


I'd like to know how you guys see this strategy, and how it would work. And, who knows, it may even pop up in AtWar some time

UPDATE: Like Dragon said, i did mix PD with IF a bit, but in some way that it still presents a defense-only strategy

Think everyone should, when having an idea about new strategy, work it out a bit more, present to us the specifics, at least a rough prototype.

Now i just have to guess here that you mixed lucky bastard with perfect defense, added the cost of iron fist and cripled the entire strategy with decrease in attack power which is important in the start. Also interested about the units range?

Looks like a defensive Iron Fist but...
Iron Fist infantry is already damn awesome for defense and it's only 70 cost. Your infantry might be stronger but that doesnt mean it's worth the cash considering the low range of movement and most important the lack of good attacking unit to make the balance. Tanks in Iron Fist are way better and even infantry is more usable and with the cost of 110 of your infantry and with weak tanks i think i would be broke faster then i could expaned.

Sorry i would pick Ironf Fist over this every time.

For any kind of balance, Tanks would have to be alot cheaper. This seems like a pure defense strat and it's too expensive. Atwar isn't built for defensive plays, it's about expansion and you cant really expand with high defense units and crap expensive offense units. Cheap tanks and lower Infantry hp would resolve this inbalance.

I really like the idea of cheap, medium offense tand expensive but heavy infantry. That would be a really interesting strat.

To make it different from PD, you could make the defense bonus only in defense lines (not in cities). This would give it more of a "trench warfare" flavor.

I support but because the high cost of infantry, when you don't have money you would have to count on militias, so i suggest giving militia a slight defense and range upgrade
