Link to said "proven to be wrong" would be helpful to people like me who've never seen the original argument.

It doesn't need to be proven wrong or right... what clovis is saying is what he thinks is happening. Did he ever talk to the person who picked sweden in 3v3 and asked if he were RP player after he got ''kicked''? He says banned from 3v3 players? lol like we really gonna spectate RP maps and ban each and everyone who plays them, thats ridicilous. None of the RP players have been banned by the players I know, once or twice is an exception, but dont say every 3v3 ''competitive player'' does it. Its funny he is quoting every comment of him from his ''guides' to ''promote'' them ... such cry for approval

Clovis, Clovis, Clovis... my dear ignorant but talkative friend... You should actually get out there and try to confirm what you're stating here as a universal truth... it's kinda offensive for me to read all this cause i'm out there and I dont see this happening. If a RP'er is interested in learning, he would first watch, then ask and finally try. You make competitive people seem like the problem for everything when you should remember RP'ers have their own responsability in this as well.... A RP'er must make an effort from his own too! Don't just join a game full of pros, try to be the centre of the game and become the hero, you'll get pawned. Think a bit, learn your own limit and improve before trying something you're not able to do.... RP'ers think that they actually have the skills when they first try to play competitive games, that's not the way for them to be accepted inside the competitive community... As i told you, I dont have anything against a RP'er but if he wants to improve, first he must make an effort and try to learn on his own the basics. If i see this guy interested enough in competitive gaming, then I'd be glad to teach them, just as i have been doing lately.

Clovis deleted the topic, because pinheiro deleted most of his posts. Typical clovis, deleting and editing old posts to look as if he was right.

RP games evolved out of UN games, which got a bad name because they promoted poor skills and betraying. Some would say that the positive part of it was the social and 'role play' part, which could be fun, pretending you were a certain country, but this became increasingly rare. Essentially, UN games turned into a playground for players who liked to betray and scheme, because that was the way you made SP. UN games got such a bad name that clans such as mine wouldn't take players who played them, as it showed if you enjoyed them, you had little to no integrity or honour. So with UN games having such a negative reputation, RP games came to take their place. RP quickly attracted the same players that disgraced the UN games, and in my view, the transition was so quick, it seemed RP was just the same thing as UN, with a few exceptions. The final straw was the massive SP that was being made in these games. It turned the most competitive players against RP, and the 'flame wars' against RP began in full force, with nearly all competitive clans criticizing the RP group. Cetain 'RP' games remained relatively honourable, such as middle earth and Game of Thrones games, which encouraged actual 'role playing' - these players usually were fans of the books/movies/shows, and since they did not offer a lot of SP to players, weren't criticized to the same degree as the mainstream 'RP' maps. With the SP modifier on these RP maps, the 'war' against RP players is subsiding, but it now is overcoming the bad name, and many players known to betray and have little skills, continue to play these games. Hope this answers your question... ~brianwl

I thought the reason UN got a bad name was because it was a bit on the easy side. You had UN to protect you, so you could stay chill. There were very little wars too. And that's I think that's where the most of the hate gets directed to, little warring.

Because rpis spammed in main, plus a ton of r5s ask for rp and spam chat, also rp isnt really skill its about talking a ton of land turn 1 and to have 29 allys so your safe from *rogues* p, rp also doesnt show skill in players... thats why the community hates it

There are different ways of knowledge. Every science is knowledge, but not all knowledge is necessary science. You can away learn more, it does not matter if there is not a current science method that determined it you learn or not from an specific phenomenon. Sometimes, you'll get surprise of how much the humanity have learned from animals such as monkeys, elephant, dolphin even though they are classified as "Inferior, with no mind, no gist". You call my Norway wall noob, bad made, inefficiently, lack of skills ... I call it creative, new and effective on his own purpose. This is what I've learned from RP: You can away learn something new. Disqualify RP because it "lack of skills" is a very fatal error. "We cannot learn from the monkeys, because we are superior than they". But hey, you'l never know from who you will learn something new

30.11.2014 - 09:29 Black Shark Felhasználó törölve I don't comprehend how you can learn to be a pro by playing rp. You cannot learn good expansion, you cannot learn money management, and you cannot learn to play without many allies. Or know how to capture then keep a cap w/ out bunker spam.

I worded my comment wrong earlier, I'm basically saying rp is more for amusement, yeah there is very good players who can create massive armies, but like Black Shark said you don't learn a whole lot maybe like walling but again Clovis you wall in Norway is good but would you ever do that in an EU game...
