"success has many fathers, failure is an orphan" ^ this happens too much in atwar, when somebody is a good low rank there is a shitload of narbs claiming that they trained him, but when the low rank is bad, nobody associates with him.

Either I'm not on enough or this just doesn't happen as often as you are thinking. This is actually the very first time I've heard of someone claiming they trained a good low rank. I often hear more about how they were friends than that, and hear a ton more of higher ranks claiming they are bad players now and were good only when they were lower ranks. Of course, that isn't to say my previous clause is false, but still, this really doesn't happen a lot in my perspective.

It's not so much that you suck more as you get to a higher rank, it's just that you're held to different expectations. Skill level from rank 8-9+ is not all too different. Rank 8s and 9s can go into CWs and 3v3s and have a fair shot at rank 10s and 11s if they were trained since rank 6 and 7 and if they avoided high sp scenarios. Many of us go away for long periods of time as well. That is a factor as well. You can get credit for introducing a member to the competitive side though. Like I will always label Primal as the player that got me out from scenarios and put me in the competitive community even if my early training was with evoL and later SM. Recruiters can wear their badges, not trainers.

MOU, Joedtaxi and Pontez pretty much taught me most of what I know today. However huge credit goes to MOU for teaching me off-the-battlefield skills such as respecting clan-mates (lol even though sometimes it never worked) and loyalty. MOU <3 and then ofc there was Freeland who gave me belief in the Freestyle Freeland moves. Love Freeland <3
