Player of the month July: Avatar

We (moderators and admins) will give out a 'Player of the year' award (Medal) at the end of this year. Its a new idea, and it will be given to the player who has helped us and Afterwind over time. Here is how it works:

Every month, we select the player of the month. This is a player who helped us with reporting, new ideas and suggestions, bug fixing, helping players on forum, hosting a awesome tournament, etc. Just the player that has done well for afterwind, and its community in the last month.

We will post the 'player of the month' on the public forum every month.

All players that became 'player of the month' are automaticly candidate for the 'player of the year' award. This is the only way to candidate yourself for this award.

At the end of the year, one of the players that has been the winner of the month, will be chosen to be the 'Player of the year 2012', and gets a special medal at his profile (just like we have with tournament winners).

We start with the first candidate, that is 'player of the month' July; a player who helped us with reporting mostly, but also with bug fixing and a lot of new idea's.

Gentlemen, I'm sorry but I need to play advocate of the devil here: avatar is awarded July's Player of the Month, yet he is trolled almost daily by greeks in this community and his pleads fall, apparently, on deaf ears. Someone says some anti-semitic remarks on chat and is banned almost instantly. I believe players who troll others because of their nationality should have the same treatment.

Anyways, congratulations to avatar and hopefully he wins Player of the Year too.

We are aware of this, and believe me that we are acting the same against him as any other player if we notice this. But getting muted sometime, and even being a annoying nationalist, doesn't mean that you don't have any chance of getting this medal. I believe avatar did more then 10reports last month, from all kind of forms: SP farming, trolling, bugfixing, new ideas. These are things that are unseen by players, but i think its good to give our gratitude for that. He has been very helpfull over time, and i think that he has done more for the AW-community then harm it.

I understand, I know that avatar is a valuable player of the community and I think this medal couldn't be better awarded, it's just that yesterday for instance he came to me with screenshots of people trolling him. But if you guys are doing what you can, then it works for me.

Reporting can also be a report of a bug or problem in the game.
