I cannot quite comprehend your motive for referring to my mate's map as "Squiggles". Let's have a look at the rubbish from your maps, shall we?: What the hell is this? It's almost like you took a rusty Exacto-knife to the Indian subcontinent. Now this is just depressing. You seem to thoroughly enjoy cutting landmasses in half. Is this some sort of modern art project? Bloody hell!

Thank you Durendal. Tik-Tok as you can see your borders are waaaay worse. I spend at least 5 minutes per province to make the borders just right. You could say I go OCD over them. Why do you insist on fighting with me? I jokingly said that we were showing off our map skills and you come along and make it offensive.

Actually based upon the 1984 concept of the Malabar Front in 1984 map style. I kept it as a division in India which was a must. I believe it looks quite fine, the edges are set on purpose and look rather good imo.
This in actual fact a perfect representation of soviet and anglo lines after the Iranian occupation. Most WWII mapmakers tend to use post WWI divides which arent how they were cut up.
North and South Italy were only recently unified and I liked the way it looked in the original Custom WWII map.
Actually its based upon incredibly detailed maps of Japanese incursions into China in 1942. I spent a very long time making these parts absolutely perfect and made sure they look authentic. And you know what. They damn well do. You will not get a better representation of 1942 Japanese lines than this.
This is an old, unplayed map. One of my first view experiments. Halo Armada is the updated and much improved version which at one point used very complicated slices of no go areas which made authentic space battle. Halo Wars is an old and rejected map I've largely forgotten. I dont see what there is to complain about other than Halo. India is fine, Italy is fine and Japan is perfection. You have made... zero maps. Checkmate.

They arent worse. Those little cuts and scrapes are purposely placed. Your maps have long lines and curves which doesnt look natural. You do it becuase it makes land very, very easy to connect up. The Default Map is made of many little triangular bumps which I have copied because it looks authentic. Again, as I said in the other thread. This shows your laziness. Tunder and I aswell as others go out of our way to make very fine detailed maps with authentic rough looking borders while you, being lazy, make smooth easy to connect lines. it shows your lack of effort.

-facepalm- Just plain immature. Each segment of line that you see in my map takes about 15 clicks. To connect that segment to another takes 15 more clicks. The segment of line connecting England with Scotland? 50-80 clicks. And that's for one line, it took me 18 minutes to do all of England. Are you sure I'M the lazy one here? Stop making Cartographers look bad. We are supposed to look out for each other not act like we are different cliques in high school.

Malabar front, huh? I don't quite understand how 1984 plays in with a WW2 1942 map, but I'll play along. Notice how much more detailed the Indian Subcontinent is in the version.
First: >in actual fact >actual top lel. Second: I won't touch on the Anglo/Soviet Iran subject, because I would have left it alone, considering the invasion ended in 1941, and your map takes place in 1942. Also, aren't*.
You split Italy, yet leave the Third Reich intact? Logic = none.

Notice how its an alternative history timeline. This isnt the map, it was a guide but another map shows the divide to be exact. I chose it because India, as a whole, is too overpowered. Divided in the south makes it weaker. You wouldnt understand the need to balance, seeing as you dont make maps. Though you use to, until well, you left again.
I dont see the issue here. Your autism is showing.
The territory was used by the allies.
Quite alot actually. A strong Germany and a weak Italy. Just like the real war and yes, South and North were seperate. It was the line where the South was taken by the allies.
No. Mapping out the exact location of Japanese forces is sketchy and giving that much territory to Japan would have been problematic for walling, balance, space etc. Plus the incursions are sketchy, different maps show different growth of the Empire. Each map can be slightly differen due to different reports and the natural push and pull of enemy borders. The Chinese fought pretty damn hard and those borders you showed arent entirely trustworthy. While Japan held a certain area, they didnt hold the entire land. My map shows the solid Japanese holdings aswell as their initial pushes. I read in depth into the Second Sino Japanese War and chose adequate maps to detail while give balance. What you find is perfection. Perfection copied by others as it works. You seem to be the only one with an issue. Perhaps you should remove whatever it is thats placed so firmly up your bottum and you could relax a little instead of getting so strained and tense. Then again, you always did love things up there.

I understand the need of balance in a scenario, as well as artistic and historical importance. I am currently working on a WW2 map where the British Raj is split into seven different sections, all in order to keep proper balance in a region of the world where cities tend to be more populated, and therefore, stronger.
You would remove the word "Actual", it adds nothing, and only states that a fact is actual, which we all know by definition of what a fact is. Autism? Proper English. Your atrocious spelling mistakes (Trembling on they keys again?) show me you do not understand it (Proper English).
If your previous statements of map balance are to be believed, than you would have taken into consideration how destructive a unified Third Reich would be.
For the first leg of this statement, you shan't worry about balance, as (referring to first image), there is seemingly less occupied space. In terms of the second, I could see some balance issues, but if we go by your logic, that should be totally okay, as you left the Third Reich in the same state. For the second leg, would you rather use a more, or less detailed map? This section is totally for opinions, and I would love to hear why you deem the less-detailed version more "adequate". Perfection? Andartes would not be making a new WW2 map if your's were perfect, nor would I.
I would not have started work on a World War II map if one of my mates had not asked me to do so after witnessing your's, so obviously there are other people who have issues with your map. Strained and tense? I feel as though that title belongs to you in this situation. You mocked my clan-mates cartography skills, so I gave my two cents on how you're not up-to-par. ---- Also, if we're to quote each other's past, if I may ask, have you yet gotten over your rampant bigotry, racism, and pessimism, or are you still the cynical bastard I remember you being?
