You keep thinking of OP units and not of the uses mapmakers can make with them. Yes, RP maps may make OP units. But seriously, why do you even care about RP maps? Care for what may happen in the maps that you play, and not the OP Unbalance RP maps.

Support, remove full conditions and if not possible then apply a limit of about 999 to every strat.

To the above posters,
Why do you even need such absurd stats for un-killable units? When you have 0~250 attack to play around in, you can easily make un-killable units on just 99 health.

The stat limits are already high-enough, you can make most any unit you want, without raising the limit.
If you're wanting units with even higher power than the limits, just set lower stat values for the normal units (make the normal units weaker-than-normal, and it will indirectly increase the value of the high-attacking units)

There is also a limit to how weak you can make normal units
believe me, the restrictions are horrible

Restriction as to how weak they can get?

The arguers are against Maps, yet the poll says YES.
I am not sure, are we for or against the map restrictions?
12gsh, we still cannot make all the units we want. Plus the restrictions do hold us onto a certain level of how good a unit is. So our ONLY choice that is very usable at all is OTHER units. And that renders most strategies useless. Sure, we have RARE units, but strategies treat them as OTHER units as far as I believe.

I'm not completely against... I'm just cautious... we could give it a try I guess, I just hope people don't mess around with it too much you know?

Raul, 100/100 100 hp with 100 Crit 100 Range Units CAN ALREADY BE MADE WHICH ARE OP AGAINST NORMAL UNITS And You Don't See These All Over The Place Do You? So Why Would Increasing The Limit More Mean People Suddenly Do? It Makes Only A Different To People Wanting To Utilise These Higher Stats

Support!
With the stat limitation removal on certain role, that means the strategy can have effects on the unit stats instead of using unit: other.
Which will definitely open up more special units and the like.

I don't think the limits need to be removed. I've always felt they are in place less to balance out the unit stats and more to keep strategies relevant. The + offense, defense, crit. etc. of a strategy doesn't matter if the units have ridiculous stats. And lets say you want to build a nuke type weapon as I saw mentioned. Just make it 'other'. That's why 'Other' units exist. Most strats do not affect them so it does not mater how absurd their stats are.

How about removing restrictions per category?
Any unit can have 0 (yes, zero, not one) to 150 attack and 0 to 100 defense, 1 to 35 health, 0 to 500 collateral, -3 to 300 range, 0 to 100 critical, 0 to 10,000 cost regardless of unit type.
I think that ought to work pretty well.
Critical is already 0-100. What is "health"?

I really don't see the need for the proposed change. Making op units in other categories besides "other" is pointless, primarily because then the strats have no meaning. What is the god-awful disadvantage to making every unit "other" if you're going to break away from the default system, anyway?
