Nerf PD by -2 defense

You see, the difference between my proposal and lao's proposal is that i want the bug to remain fixed and start rebalancing strats again, while lao wants the "bug" to be re-implemented.

Well in this case, reverting the changes doesn't simply mean clicking the undo button. Also in your title you've only mentioned PD, when infact ALL strats are affected by this. So currently just changing PD won't balance anything. I suggest you just close this topic since mods are already poking the admins.

yeah so -2 actually makes it weaker than other strats in defense.

yeah so -2 actually makes it weaker than other strats in defense.

For most it will be the same defense when they are inside a city, but PD still has cheaper infantry and +1 defense when fighting tanks.
If we nerf PD with -2 Defense, the following strats are the only ones that have infantry that are equal to PD (the rest have attack/defense penalties):

Naval Commander
Master Of Stealth
Iron Fist
Lucky Bastard

Of course there is. You realize, that this defense buff adds changes to all strats using infs for main defense, since they already have +1 in cities with None strat enabled. Heck, do you even know that NEUTRALS are a little more op with this recent change.

Hey I didn't say that. I said mods are dealing with the situation HOW YOU WANT IT TO BE. They want it to be how it was before, when everything was somewhat balanced and PD didn't need to oh-so-needed -2 defense that you are preaching. Anyone with a brain and can read the forums will know that there are problems with what Amok currently "fixed". Anyone can have an opinion, but I'm just finding this ridiculous.

of course i know that, but the neutral bonus can't be fixed by a nerf, and i am aware of the bonus that all infantry got (which i support because RA was op)

that is irrelevant, a lot of competitive players stop playing and still have valid opinions about competitive subjects

Of course amok can code a exception into neutral infantry (but that is not a nerf, its coding), a nerf to PD infantry is more practical.

buddy, there is multiple ways to solve a problem, removing the infantry bonus to all but militia is one of them, -2 defense to PD is also another

Mate, the game is coded. All the nerfs, are through changing numbers in the CODE.

I didn't ss battle report but today I rush enemy cap with 25inf + 2 mil + 1 gen & my ally gw helped with 15 marines VS 19inf+gen of my enemy, and he won by 3-4 inf....

Bad rolls happen, it varies quite a bit
Earlier today 25 pd inf and gen got capped by 54 inf and gen of imp i believe with 12 to spare

They did it to PD, which I won't complain about. Stacking strats and defensive play is still stronger though. With this defensive boost, they may not do anything to RA, which I'm fine with.

Well changing the number from 2 to 0 is much easier. If we do this for neutral infs (1 to 0) then this is giving an exception to it, as opposed to infs with other strats that have bonuses in cities(PD)

Other people thought the same, then they fought against PD and saw the insane rolls. You haven't played a game in 3 days. This change came about 5 days ago if I'm correct (don't quote me on tht) and these games you played, none were on the standard map.

The thing is, it hasn't been proposed in other threads but this. Other threads state reverting changes which means removing all bonus defense in cities (this includes all strats)

Damn just lost 60 inf on a city with 22 inf this is really bad
