Anyway i dont expect people from Netherlands or Spain to understand, you were both brutal colonizers and when you did get attacked you had British and/or French help to clear up the mess for you.

But khal....... wtf has the past have to be with the present?? And as far as I know, neither britain or france have ever helped Spain. As a matter of fact, we've hated each other throughout history (there are even a lot of prejudices between us up to this date) And if you wanted to generalize so much, how come haven't you included britain amongs the brutal colonizers? Ffs, I feel bad reading that, as if I were responsable for anything my ancestors might have done without asking my opinion... I might be Spanish, but most importantly, I am a person, independently of my nation or ancestors.

I know and understand the situation there, don't comment as if I weren't human the point here is that innocent people have died for no reason at all. The ones who should be bombed are the government, not civilians

Btw, the roman empire wasn't all that great politically speaking. Corruption was very present and there were many incidents.

Islamic violence is not the only (nor the most important) kind of violence the iberian peninsula has seen throught history (either inflicted or suffered)

Just because it happened a long time ago doesn't make it an less relevant, look at history from the founding of islam to today and you will always find violence committed in the name of islam

Then take a look at all the wars/prosecution happening inside Europe during that same period. You might be amazed at the amount of confrontations there were between christians... once you have a list of them, try to compare both the violence rooted to the islamic empire and that rooted in the christian countries. Islam isn't that violent anymore compared to us...

The fact is that we've kinda learned from both WW (mass genocides everywhere, christian countries too), which were entirely christian started wars.

None of these wars had anything to do with religion, actually last wars in europe driven by religious reasons were back in 16th century, most recent ones by muslims were in 20th century, maybe even 21st if you count ISIS (which im sure you dont, i mean they cant be muslims, can they?)

Either way, it works out for me, more and more people are discarding any form of religion, soon no more of christians in this world.

Islam is a more recent religion than christianity, therefor it's logic for them to take more time to evolve. They'll eventually learn, just as we did.
But I wouldn't call today's terrorist attacks as religious attacks. Imo, there are many other factors involved rather than only some religious thoughts.

Nor have there been from islam besides those at the very begining, once islam appeared from nowhere and expanded through Africa until reaching Spain. Otomans didn't expand cause of religious motivations, just land and greed. No one else tried to invade Eu. Furthermore, we're the ones that eventually invaded them, even if it wasn't due to pure religios matters (eventhough the church took advantage of this to expand their influence zone in Africa, for example)

PS: I know Islam is not innocent of extremism, but neither is Christianity.
