You're not wrong...

The dueling community has been more or less self-regulating for some time. Moderators have intervened over the years, but for the most part, it has been a colossal waste of time to 'fairly' implement corrective actions once a 'dueler' has committed an offense.

Often with this community, (and this is not a criticism, but an observation that most duelers wear as a badge of honour) is that if there are 30 active duelers, there are 31 opinions on any given issue.

If several duelers get together and can agree on some rules or guidelines for a season, with specific criteria for how 'cheating' is defined, i have no issue actively moderating for that season. I think I've done it twice.

I appreciate your frustration... there was a time when several mods were active duelers, and while a lot of ideas were floated to resolve issues, ultimately it became a huge time sink, since nothing could ever be agreed upon.

For me, my bottom line has continued to be that when a season draws to a close, if the top 4 (or top 8) want to create a tournament, i will host, and observe those games personally so that the season can have a winner based on defeating fellow duelers, rather than manipulating the elo system. It's the best i can offer until i hear a better idea. ♥

Duels should be rank restricted to rank 6, it's the most simple way to deal with these kind of abuse

This is best idea and fair one. Top 4 or top 8(if 8 players has elo close to each other) should play tourney and thats how we should determine our season winner.. Maybe some of them will argue about duel settings, for example, xit would want World game 5k etc, but in my opinion it should be bo5, 2 times west duel and 2 times east duel, and 5th time player can toss a coin or any other random way to decide which settings to play if they can't agree on their own.

Why not at the start of the season make a sign up for dueling that way everyone is competing against each other for first. Not who can farm the most season elo off of noobs joining your game. No offense to Xit but if he wins it's not impressive because he played no one to get there rather than Domi or tung won because they actually played stronger players and won, but they took actual risk. So if everyone is in 1 group they can make a agreement on what map the dueling season will be on. Then the one with the most elo wins the season or they can have a 3 game knock out for the top 8 duelers and the last one standing wins the season.

XIT out here farming duels against fresh rank 5s like it's an Olympic sport — man's not playing the game, he's just speedrunning alt creation. What's next, dueling himself in split-screen? I mean… his name is XIt — should've been a red flag from the start.

XIT's games seem open to everyone. Could it be that low ranks want to try different maps? I remember trying to play against high ranks. I'm not saying that nothing underhanded is occurring.
