Will there be world peace? How about the end of the world?

That is a rhetorical question. Just doing some comparison.

Will there be world peace? According to different beliefs, yes, there will be, but as to how varies. There are still many who don't think there will be world peace one day, not in our time nor the future.

The following does not speak for every individual, of course.
In Atheism, the popular belief is that there will be world peace when everyone becomes secular (and somehow the Earth magically turns into a land of unicorns and ponies I suppose). The world might end (human caused climate change) or the world will continue on and not melt itself (natural climate change).

In Christianity, there will be world peace when the false prophet arrives and unites the world and a New Earth, but instead a paradise, will be created per His Promise. One cannot lean on his own understanding, but The Bible says (NIV), "And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. The Sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what he had done." Revelations 20:12 through 20:13 Afterwards, "Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire." Revelations 20: 14 through 20:15. Since one cannot lean upon one's own understanding in The Bible (same for The Torah) and needs the guidance of God, I do not know if that means non-Christians will have a chance to be saved according to Revelations; however, there's this in Ecclesiastes, "But for him who is joined to all the living there is hope, for a living dog is better than a dead lion" (Ecclesiastes 9:4).

In Judaism, the Messiah (who is believed to be Jesus in Christianity) will bring world peace, I'm not sure what happens after. For those who follow holy texts, like me, the Messiah will probably be Jesus, and the Jews might drop their jaws where they stand upon His arrival. They will also face the Armilus, or Antichrist/False Prophet. In Judaism, The Final Judgement will come after a period of peace and joy when evil is defeated. Those who sinned greatly without regret will enter Gehenna, while those who lived moral, more righteous lives who have accepted God will enter Paradise. The wicked will spend up to 12 months in Gehanna, but some believe that those who have led others into their wicked ways and transgressed God's law will remain in Gehanna forever.

In Islam, from what I understand, is that the world will be united under a false prophet, too; however, I've also heard that world peace will come when the world submits and Earth becomes united under the Umman, then the end follows as everyone moves onto the next life or afterlife. Also in Islam, Jesus will return at the end as the Messiah. It's a bit similar to Christianity; but the judgement is different (as a contrast). Barzakh, life in the grave. If you do not answer the following questions correctly, you are not going to have a good afterlife: "Who is your God? Who is your prophet? What is your faith?" The correct answers are: Allah, Muhammad, and Islam. If one answer the questions correctly, their graves will be comfortable. They will have a window and a view of Paradise; however, only one who dies in Jihad will go directly to Paradise. For those who do not answer correctly, instead of being thrown into a lake of fire (as another contrast to Christianity), a window to hell will be opened, their grave will narrow, and their ribs are crushed as they feel the heat and hot winds of hell. This suffering will continue while the person awaits judgement.
Islam also believes in the coming of the Dajjal, the False Prophet/Antichrist/Armilus of Islam.

I know, the three biggest religions in the world believe that the world will be unified by an evil figure, but what happens after is different for each, to varying degrees.

World Peace among Conscious Sentient-Sapient entities whose ancestry can be traced from primates?

World Peace is but a dream far from reality. War brings changes. War is the reason why humanity continue to strive and live; it is both our salvation and our demise. But what is World Peace? A world without struggle and violence? The principality in this planet brings only two rules: eat or be eaten and survival of the fittest. Even if we exclude humanity out of the equation, the world will remain the same until it is barren of life.

Don't want it. Part of being alive is evolution, you only adapt and evolve if you are tested physicaly and mentally those who can't die off and there genes with them. That's the correct way. But our humanity saves these people they reproduce and that's how we ended up with 7 billion idiots 800 million oppressed intellectuals and an elitest one percent and there partners. I belive this is what disease exsist for I believe this is why we have war and I belive the only way to find balance is to give more people the opportunity to advance there lives instead of oppressing them. We need to get off this planet, right now we can die off in a blink of an eye to a madman with a nuclear detonator or a ceo with not environmentAL regulation. Only way to world peace is through a great genocide not based on ethics religion or class, but on the person themselves. How can they help humanity and are they willing to do it?

1. Judaism still practice same old laws written in Torah/Bible, which is good, but Judaist believers does not accept Jesus as a mesiah, which is bad.

2. Christianity does not practice old laws written in Torah/Bible, which is bad, but believes in Jesus as mesiah, which is good.

They both are doing wrong as they practice and abide to laws they choose, and disregard the rest as unecessary or not true.


3. Evil figure will unite the world in (false) peace after chaos reign the earth (terrorism, war, invasions, sanctions, crisis), which mean he(evil figure) will create chaos(war) and later promise how he will make peace but only if people choose(elect) him as leader(president). He will try to 'globalize' planet earth by making world government, world bank, one market, one economy, one currency, one language and blah blah blah.

4. It says in Torah/Bible that God admit he lost the planet earth, as he cannot lead or live among people not following laws, which makes them pure and thus give room for God to live among them. According to book, Lucifer is gradually changing humans to be impure so God stay away from them, so he(lucifer) can rule the earth as a 'prince' and not be eternally second-in-command in heaven (lucifer was protoangel, first angel).

5. If God lost planet, that mean he cannot or don't want to meddle with it, which mean that's the reason we have wars, hunger and pain. Which further mean to retake it, God will have to invade, siege the planet. That's the armageddon book is talking about, and when/if he win, true peace will come, as either all bad guys will be killed so only good one will be inhabiting the earth, or the other way around.

6. I've debated this on college. Is that sentence correct or just generally accepted? Think about it: survival of the fittest or survival of the most cunning and greedy?

Schwarzenegger is the most fittest human you'll meet, but would he survive Hillary Clinton? I doubt, because his strength and health cannot match Clinton's ability to gather others under her ideology, making her stronger and exercising her will.

If that is correct, it means cunning will prevail, not the fittest which mean their offspring will be just random - not necessary cunning like ancestors and neither fit.

There will be peace when the sun engulfs the Earth and civilization as we know it,ceases to exist.

I would argue that atheism does not believe secularism will bring world peace, rather than a more peacefull world.or simply one of the first and fundamental steps toward that utopian concept. Whats disturbing is that people are still believing in the second coming and take the writings of the three abrahamic religions as a literal guide for the future of mankind and the universe? Is this a joke, lol?

Even if we survive nuclear winters, man made climate change, viruses, ai and weaponised nanotechnology we have about 50.000 years to figure out a way to survive the next ice age when our current interglacial ends. After that for the next hundred of millions of years we have to survive supervolcanic eruptions, asteroids and meteorites, find ways to survive gamma ray bursts and live in a planet with average temperature 50 celcius, with no magnetic fields, oceans who are evaporating and atmosphere being gradually destroyed.

Even if we miraculously find a way to survive all of this, we better get the fuck out of earth before 4 billion years pass, because we are hitting the boss of our local system, the andromeda galaxy and its not gonna be pretty.

Even if we survive the galactic merge with Andromeda, the sun will become a red dwarf soon after and swallow us or make us barbeque, so God will probably be forced 100% to move Israel as his holy place from Earth, Milky way, Local galactic group to another galaxy millions of light years away.

After that, if we survive in another planet, in another solar system, in another galaxy we are still fucked eventually. In 100 trillion years all stars in the universe will be depleted and by 10^40 if you are alive you will have to get used to the idea that black holes will be your only friends and all you see.

If we survive the black hole era, we must brace ourselfs for the dark era where almost all matter will cease to exist and we have to be able to transform ourselfs into single photons or liptons to survive.

In our new life as a photon we will have advantages like instant travel, flying and world peace and we could wait some gazillion years more for a new big bang might arise. Or not.




tldr; we are fucked, but atleast we know where, when and how. Now talk about Jesus and Alah sorry for interupting.

According to Torah: God created perfect planet for 6 days and later ruined it in Great Flood (that's why we have storms, cold weather, hot weather, summers, winters). So if all that happens you mentioned, He can still repair and bring it to the first stage it meant to be. So it's not religious people who should worry, as if they believe in God, He will fix the planet. Good thing we live in capitalism where we can dictate price of medicine, for atheist who stress themselves and create illness from worrying too much about the future of the planet, good business.

Creationism is a hypothesis with zero evidence. Evolution is a fact, species change over time. Evolution *by natural selection* is a scientific theory, with tons of evidence behind it. Im sure all scientists really want is for to dig more in the holy scriptures, as you say. See what i highlighted in red. The second law applies to closed systems (with no external sources of energy), like the universe that is expanding and going from order to disorder, from heat to cold.. The earth is not a closed system, it feeds on energy from the sun and as such the 2nd law does not apply to living organisms. You are using one thing you dont understand (entropy) to explain another thing you dont understand (god).

So, even though order in earth can be increased allowing for complex life forms to evolve, the total order of the solar system and the universe is decreasing, as the 2nd law of thermodynamics states. The sun as well. The sun is using its hydrogen to make helium and give us his energy and that hydrogen is gonna be depleted, that is a fact. The sun will run out of fuel and die, just like every other star in the universe and from its material, along with other matter, others stars will from. But while the stellar material is in fact being recycled, the energy decreases and so the universe goes closer to a thermodynamic equilibrium. Meaning the energy WILL run out, stars WILL stop to form, matter WILL cease to exist and we humans WILL dissapear, along with everything else. Unless we actually prove the multiverse theory and find a way to travel there (unlikely) or God reveals himself to us and tell us otherwise, that is what we KNOW, granpa. And that is what the 2nd law is actually about.

For instances, take two people of the same intellectual level, same physical level, but make one white and another black. In the Arctic regions, the white person will be more fit- he has lighter skin tone allowing him to attract more sunlight in the colder areas. In areas closer to the equator, the black man will be more fit- he has darker kin tone allowing him to block/redirect much of the sunlight lessening his chance of skin cancer that someone with lighter skin color would deal with. This principle applies to a person who is white who becomes tan- their body adapts too sunlight by producing more melanin making a darker hue to reflect mroe sunlight,

So imo (and I had assumed most others) fitness is simply relating to the situation. If trapped in a box, the strongest person is the most fit (able to escape). If stuck in a plane about to crash, the pilot is the most fit. When stuck with a math problem, the mathematician is the most fit.

We in Russia learn different approach: good and bad in the enviroment. Good man will create a cottage, domesticate animals, nurture them, grow food, learn some artisan work with wood or iron in the free time. While bad man will just come with a stick or rock and kill him, hence he survives. Is he better because of that? Was good man actually bad because he didn't defend? Is his bad for not creating a gun, but food?

Survival of the fittest does not deal with right or wrong but simply who has the best ability to survive. Being "fit" doesn't mean you're good, just that you were able to survive. WHat defines good or evil is up to us to decide. In the end, using your example, the man who survives was the most fit according to Darwin's principle.

hm.. i dont really understand your question. Mutation is a part of the process of evolution. Mutation is an instant change in the DNA in one organism and evolution is the change in the DNA in the norm of one species, after generations.

Speciments that evolved are all around lol, not difficult to find them. Even recent like antibiotic resistant bacteria and pesticide immune insects.

Or the famous peppered moth, the butterfly who had white wings to be able to camouflage herself from birds, in the white trees in some forest. The few black winged moths that existed were getting picked off by birds, making them very hard to find, but when industrial plants and pollution made the trees of the forest black, the few black wing mutations occuring allowed the species to survive, albeit now having black wings, because the poor white wingers were the ones getting raped by birds this time.
