Petition to ban all RP maps

I have a dream... Where RP is deleted forever... and all former RP players are forced to learn how to play atwar...Games are abundant... easy to fill... and enjoyable

Let's all be honest here; Lower level players have been flocking to Roleplay games for years now (taking away players from playing the actual game of AtWar, it's not hard to see how nilla atwar has been slowly dying off). Units are terribly unbalanced, crazy income per turn, and basically unlimited ranged units. Its paradise for players who haven't learned the nilla aspect of atwar. It has become a virus that has grown uncontrollably. Mods took 1 step in trying to correct the RP scene (dropping SP to 25%), but didn't go far enough. RP has no business being here on AtWar.

The fact some RP maps dont even have SP Multiplier and are still played shows how big of a deal RP is to people on AW. Take that away, and I'm sure this game will collapse in on its self. I understand RP in the past has "ruined the game" by having it played "for the sp" but even after they changed that factor it was still played. Either way, RP is a big point for AW and a money maker. Maybe you should invest in premium so you can make better RP maps. (Just a suggestion) and games arent easy to fill. Only at certain times of my day are they like this. And it's for a short period. Scenarios are no different from RP toxicity either or their atmosphere. Also, give me at least 3 times where low ranks "flock to rp".. I don't see any of that hosted unless a r4-r5 premium who knows the map hosts it.

If you want to fix the problem with RP, get out there, train people, make new maps, etc. Don't just sit here and bitch on a forum and wait for someone else to do something.

Roleplay ultimately stabbed AW right in the heart about 534 times.

Conventional roleplay in interesting time settings such as Aetius' Wars of German unification or Rome political are enjoyable maps because they do not shove some bs rules down your throat about war t4 etc, give stupid units with 50k starting funds. These maps allow players instead to play as a specific country/land in accordance to what happened at time.

YOU CAN PLAY A NICE ROLEPLAY THAT DOESENT INVOLVE 500000 CITIES 9999999 ECONOMY AND A SHIT TON OF UGLY LOOKING BORDERS THAT LOOK LIKE ABSOLUTE GARBAGE ITS LITERALLY AUTISM AND NEW NOOB R3 PLAYERS ARE FLOCKING IN THINKING THIS IS WHAT THE GAME ACTUALLY IS.

I agree with the statements about historical RP. German Unification, Sengoku Jidai, and Rome are all examples of good RP. It's just the RP with the ridiculous income, cities, and retarded borders and walls that's the problem. There are a lot of people who like RP, and they are very vocal about it. A better solution would be to not allow RP in the beginner lobby, so new players aren't exposed to it so early. It will give them a chance to learn the real basics of the game, while not being influenced by RP autism.

Who is going to finance the servers.

Imagine being this mad over what someone else enjoy, also, judging by the lobby state, losing 30 guys would be like losing half of your playerbase

How are they going to get past rp spamming if they dont know of any other aspect of the game?
You just assume everyone decided to play rp, they actully have no clue that competitive and scenario atwar exist, i as a rank 4 remeber wondering what the CW room was for, id ask myself why is there such a room when i never see games active in it, i didnt found out about competitive untill r6 when ghostface told me about it

i guarantee you they will enjoy playing skillful world games and scenarios more then RP if they were given a chance, but you highrank noob RP hosters stick those lowranks in the ground and on the countrary they get BORED and play for a month or two, and then quit atwar.

Look around smartass, all the competitive players are highranks and premium. while all the rp players are r3 r4 and noprem. So who generates the money for atwar tell me? When competitives have played atwar consistently, some for 1 year 2 some 3, 4 or even more, while rp players get bored after 1 month of "gameplay" You and your other rp mapmaker friends thrive in the autism youve created i guess.

And you just assume that everyone wants to play competitive games here.
They can easily get interested in duels and cws. Just hop into one? At least thats what happened with me. I saw a cw one day, watched it, was fun. Stayed for another one. World games are happening from time to time too, so thats not an excuse.

Reason low ranks rush into RP stuff is because, they see a high rank player in RP and they think "that looks cool, i think i can do that". Their skill set is relatable. While in competitive, you're gonna need some time to get on a level of middle rank players.
And i'm not even trying to diss RP players. If nothing i envy them. They probably had more fun in a year than i had in my 5 years of playing this game.

It's really their choice on what they want to play It's not like you log on and RP is shoved down your throat they can see the maps and they can decide which map they decide to play. I came back after about 3 years of beign away and ALL i used to play was 3v3 go check my history if you wish then i played 1 game of NWE and i was hooked It's fun the players make it fun and I have a great time playing it specially when you have funny ass people in your game

No. RP is ok if players have atleast basic knowledge of the game. Problem is RP developed its own 'culture', teaching new players to wallspam, camp and betray allies - all that in a FFA game (RP like NWE is not really RP anymore).

The idea (like most ideas) of RP is fine, but the implementation sucks, because new players flock there instead playing team games first to learn the basics. Its simply more interesting for them.

What about limiting RP to rank 5 and above? And making the Tutorial mandatory, but update the tutorial heavily, maybe add sp reward for finishing tutorial. That way new players will learn basics and play normal maps before getting into NWE waters.

a rarely see an NWE up in beginners room and if that their in the higher rank lobby, I barely see anyone from r3-r4 playing it (because no one puts rank restrictions from the lobby its self). Both Elijah and I have taken maneuvers to kick players that are below r5 out of games and stated it in rules at one point, so they could learn some skills before playing.

Not only this, "Rankism" is used a lot in RP maps like NWE because most countries by default of the majority of players require them to be a minimum rank.
