What surtr said is actual brainlet shit, no map makers left due to dave. Nifty is the only map maker that left the game and not due to dave at all and scenarios are not dying because there's no map makers, it's dying because no one wants to play new maps. People just want to play the same shit 24/7 and when they try out something new and there's one thing not right about it they shit on it then never play it again. Map makers have actually have a renewed interest due to Dave, like camel(creator of colonial supremacy) is interested in revamping his map but doesn't due to the fact he can't edit his map on html5 since it's a silverlight map. This whole "shit on dave" meme is really old and boring, i find it funny how you try to create some correlation with scenarios dying to him being owner when they've been dying for a long time, even back in 2017 it was hard to fill a 6 player scenario that's not already popular.

In my opinion scenarios and competitive can both get boring if you do the same thing repeatedly. Of course it'll get fucking stale if that's what you do consistently for a prolonged time without some drastic change. Which is why I'm an avid supporter of updates to base map in regards to units/strats they add variety and substance to BOTH walks of life. Scenario and competitive alike.
And this is coming from a map maker's perspective, having made maps since 2014, the updates actually allow for really decent and new innovative things to become a reality in custom maps, it'd only entice you to want to map make more not less.(Though buildings need to be released in the map editor already god dammit)

Anyways, enough rambling, but that's some brainlet conclusion you came to, on a empty basis

We can bridge the gap between map makers and comp by map makers making competitive maps. It will fix the boring EU+, and bring two different communities together. Also allowing scenario cws could bring everyone together, and maybe there will be more than 1 cw a week.

Competitive is dead because a group of autists took hold of it, years of bad balancing and no content, and a lack of drive from the staff during this season of actual productivity. Competitive will return at some point provided there's interest for it, but there needs to be a new group of people who take over it.

Insurrection wasn't balanced, this is known. Dave has since opened up the test server and allowed me to make an R&D team to test content prior to it launching. This is a very thorough process now. Counter-Insurgency was great before the Drones nerf, ended up being solid C-Tier afterwards. Nothing wrong with the strat though, not sure why you would complain about it. Industrial Powerhouse was broken (in a bad way) from the start due to Buildings not working at all; I warned the previous admins- as did literally everyone else in 2018- about how bad some of the Buildings were, but alas here we are. IP on the test server in its current build is up from F tier to D imo, needs more work that can only happen when Buildings are fixed.

Oh my god you did not just say people like me killed this game? Are you kidding me or what? I've done nothing but try to help this game since my inception on this game. I've attempted to create content for this game in the forms of maps(I don't care if you like them or not, I've put forth effort for over 4 years and I still do to this day solely for the intent of adding content to this game), I've done premium giveaways for players which has come out of my pocket not the supporter budget, which not only provides funds for the game which can be used to develop it, it also helps out other players in this game who could be inconvenienced by the fact that premium prices in certain countries are extremely high because of the currency differences. I've constantly hosted SP/PC drops during my time as supporter which actually helps low rank players/gives PC's to players who don't already have premium.

If people like me were truly killing this game, then fuck me, I'll quit this right now because I genuinely care about the game and would like it to thrive.

Competitive is dying because of the numerous of bugs in this game, a staff that did nothing for years, broken strategies, hard standards, shit ton of upgrades that are needed, shit ton of gameplay and expansions you need to know, consistently playing the game, but the biggest reason why competitive is dying is because of people like 4nic and WD with their enormous ego-complexes and arrogance whenever they won a season/cw/duel etc. Healthy rivalry is fine, but the level of arrogance and toxicity from either 4nic or WD is far from healthy, and more worrying.
