You sick of the douchebag ocmmunity?

I fucking hate this game's community. I've made a thread about how unkind and unfriendly it is to new players, and responses said give it time and you'll find golden people.
Months in, I find -nothing's- changed. Everyone is still a fucking dick, no matter how nice you try to be. I understand backstabbing and betrayal is a part of the game, but mocking someone you just backstabbed is fucking douchebaggery, and I fucking hate it. The most of these acts come from the high ranks, rank 8 and over, and they're all fucking dicks.

Every person rank 8 and over I've met in this game are arrogant, douchebags, and complete fucking wastes of space. I don't know how in the fuck this game's community continues to grow with so many dickwad rankists dominating its matches. I would play another game, but I like the layout of atwar, it's just the fucking dickwad, unfriendly and unwelcoming community which pisses me the fuck off. I've made sure to tell everyone I know to -not- play this game, as they don't have to face the harsh reality of how fucking trollish this game's playerbase is. I've also taken to instantly enemy listing every rank 8 and higher I see, as there's no point in trying to make friends with them since they're all dicks.

At this point, I'm just being a complete dick myself in the game, since that's how everyone else acts. If you can't beat the shitty attitude, you might as well adopt it. I've turned away about four new players by means of douchebaggery, and I've made sure they'll never play this game again.

I know this may seem as a rage thread, and it partly is, but it's not based off of ignorance and complete bullshit. I'm raging because of how fucking horrible this wonderful game's playerbase is. I've never witnessed such a shitty community, -ever-.

You spelled community wrong , but yeah, I totally agree with you on the fact that some high ranks can be a bit mean. I don't think you should lower yourself to dat level tho...

Anyway, there are a lot of aggressive people in the whole internet and AW is not an exception. You have tools to deal with it like ignore function, enemy list and reports, try doing that instead of helping to make it a worse place.

Insulting players and insulting mods will get you no where. Not every player is a douchebag, and from what I can see, the only douche here is you. I agree with what Pin said. There are many ways to avoid and ignore things you deem to be doucheness. If you dislike it so much, don't go to the same level. Do things to help the community out. If you purposely want to be a jerk, and complain about the community so much, then don't play.

Like the moderator Pinheiro said, just use the ignore function and send screenshotted reports to the mods whenever possible.

im sorry man but if youve played in other game communities, for me gameranger voobly steam or blizzard, you come to realise that all communities share their own fair share of idiots. it's up to the individual whether they have the personality to handle such people.

i have encountered my fare share of idiots and douchebags in the community, ranks high and low, but ive also encountered some great guys in my fellow clanmates and my fellow high ranking peers who you get to know a bit from encountering them in games so often.

my advice to you, find/make a friend who plays regularly and help each other become strong. you can team up in games if needed to fuck all those who talk shit to you. theres nothing more satisfying in this game than demolishing backstabbers and mouthy idiots.

I have never seen a high rank seriously put down a lower rank only because they are lower rank. Again, the only douchebag I see here is you. You don't have to be a jerk because you perceive actions of high ranks to be douchey. Can you cite specific examples of times where high ranks were douchebags?

I'm not rank 8 or up so you can't rage at me without dismissing your own constraints and making a U turn on your previously raged conclusions, which is very unprofessional.

Rank means very little compared to the level of skill a player has, so directing your anger directly at them is fundamentally flawed, as I will later explain. I have seen rank 6's defeating rank 10's in a fair fight.

Because the reason you are so angry is really stems from fear of someone who has the potential to be so much stronger than you. You know that there is very little you could do in a fair fight to stop them or even in a massive group of alliances. So you rage at them to make yourself appear bigger and more powerful, as the human mind when under duress has a tendency to do, to satisfy it's sense of worth.

I have seen the phenomenon repeated many times before, with low ranks unleashing the vilest of abuse at me because I rushed them or blocked their expansion. Interestingly my encounters have shown the weakest players are always the first to rage, and the most violent. Couple this with the fact that the only strat you seemed to have ever tried is RA, and I will let the readers of this thread draw their own conclusions.

Calm down, and accept your fear means nothing. Higher ranks have usually spent longer playing the game. Loosing to them is only natural because they have more experience, but it does not mean they are truly better.

This community is diabolical. Many of the players who troll scenario games are high rank alts. The ban list was brought about due to such a high influx of trolls who openly set about to ruin games. they spectate and troll players and you can't ignore them as the ignore function doesnt work in game occasionally.

These accounts and their higher rank alts need to be suspended for a period of time.

Mods and Admins (Thats wishful thinking) need to focus on genuine troll players who set about to ruin other peoples games on a continual basis. And no, Tunder wasn't one of these.
