Your first game, country and friend in Atwar

I still remember my first game and friend, player who helped me make my first moves and get around Afterwind. Game was Eurasia+Africa and i picked Libya (it was 2011, everyone liked Gaddafi). Raptor Jesus took Egypt and funded me while i was struggling to break Tunisian defence of 3 militia.

I also have to mention this player who is probably responsible for my staying in this game - Agadar. Very nice guy and friendly. My sidekick, or i was his. We played so many world games, he pick Germany and go west, i pick Turkey and go east, or Pakistan-Korea combo, Great Lakes-Colombia, South Africa-Nigeria, beat enemies and win or lose together, doesn't matter - we had a great time and fun playing Afterwind. Still have him in friendlist.

I wonder if, maybe, we have had mutual friends and games, i know most of you are new, but there are still old f*rts from my era lurking Atwar, like Aquiesce and Tik-Tok.

My first game was a Europe+ 10 player FFA, and my first country was France (because in the tutorial you have to select France, so I thought eh, what the hell). Needless to say, being surrounded by UK, Germany, and Spain, I got slaughtered pretty fast

Actually I lost all of my first 10-11 games on atWar, but despite that I kept playing, and I'm very glad I did.

I figured out atWar mostly by myself. Did the tutorial once, then jumped straight into gaming. Didn't discover the forums until I was Rank 4, I kid you not

Since then, my quality of gaming has risen considerably, and I'm losing far fewer games. The forums have been helpful, but the friends I've made are mostly for allying during mutual games, rather than teaching and being taught. I'm hoping to go competitive once I've gained more experience

Mali, all4star and cant remember first game (probably tutorial). I wanted to join Origins (coalition) back then.

Not counting the games I played with people I know in real life...

A world game, I picked South Africa, and earliest friend I can remember was probably Tik Tok lol

My first game was with a bunch of rl friends and mahdi/usul/massih who was friends with acqui. it was 3v1 but usul was ofc wrecking us. He probably doesnt remember but acquiesce latejoined and killed us all.

Dont remember my first country. First friend would have to be usul since he got me playing.

So i started the game myself for a bit, then i was playing with some of my real life friends at that internet caffee, we were like 4-5 guys with comptuers next to eachother playing world games. it was fun.
Then i met Travisandadam and i was playing with him almost every day all day , then i meet skenderbeu and later klevis. i blame klevis for telling me to try competitive gameplay D

First game was a world game and I played Siberia. Got crushed by India within a few turns. First friends I met in United Power, but never got too close with any of them. Definitely my first close friends on this game were RaulPB and ItachiUchiha and the rest of the Winterfell gang. RIP Winterfell, RIP Itachi, I miss you

I think I went France, Dave went Spain, and DaProf went USA SouthEast but I could be wrong.

While browsing Reddit one day I saw the AMA with Ivan and Amok so I decided to check this game out as I had always loved strategy game and enjoyed risk growing up. First game I played was a world game I think and I picked Iceland because picking in a corner where I didn't have to fight anyone behind me seemed like a good idea at the time.....My first friend was Google Chrome

First REAL game where I knew kinda what I was doing and met a lot of people was an epic UN game (remember UN?) where a UN went rogue and me, the other UN, and a few other players joined together to finally beat this guy. Met a lot of people, many of whom left atward. players include papalore, I think Death, Tiberione, and a few others. Was a really great game and it's what made me continue playing at war

no life is such as you playing aw all day from HOME, while we used to go out have fun and 2-3 hours at night we used to play aw in internet caffee.

I learned this game pretty much by myself with the tutorial and the forums, so no real first mentor.

My first game... I forgot the settings, but I do remember that it was a default map - whole map game. Picked the Czech Republic.

I was stupid and noobish back then; I distinctly remember spamming PD tanks. I thought PD would improve tank defence. I figured out, after losing half a dozen games, that it didn't.

First game was a world game, either 25 or 15k, I picked USA: Northeast as my first country since that's where I'm from, my first atwar friend was Full Shovel since he's my friend irl and he showed me the game

anyway, my first game didn't go well since USA: Northeast is an expensive pick and I spammed tanks since I was noob, I ended up getting rekt pretty bad

My first game was a world map 25k, i picked canada and spammed helicopters, then i got leaster'd. the first person i added to my friendlist was AOLAOL, but the first person i considered a friend was:
a noob clovis that i butchered in a world map Zatara.

First game was a europe game.

First friend was sun tzu. He brought me into the competitive community.

i think that situation is competely different,i have no time for Atwar as much as i have and i when i go out that's for sure not internet caffee to play games.....

Actually sometimes its fun,maybe after playing you and your friends stay out for a beer or a walk or even go to a club.

I saw two of my friends talking about afterwind in one sites chat. I registered and joined their game. It was Euroasia 50k. We always wanted to pla world game but at that time only premiums could make it. I was China South, First few moves i didnt moved cuz didnt figured that i need to click on ''start turn'' button :v, No strat, and my logic was that I need to make group that consist of infantry (majority) and few tanks cuz that is in real life. No walls ofcourse, I played with Dr. Bashar (Stereotype is his original name) and Sedplas. Later me and Sedplas ganged up on Stereotype who was India and played with marines and failed few atacks on my cap. Idk how but i got a stack of around 100 units and caped Bashar. He was mad but we continued to play and compete for a time, then I stoped playing for a year or so, and come back to see another two friend from another game that joined afterwind, Nick and Mauzer.
