I'm new to this game but I have noticed that this board (ideas and suggestions) is a joke. People coming here giving all their great ideas and suggestions, other people expand and improve those ideas, we are all coming to an agreement and then the topic closes, in few days an idea is born and then dies. I sometimes wonder what is the point of this board, we have no idea if any of this ideas and suggestions would be implemented, are being implemented, considered of being implemented, nothing, just hundred lines of text prepared to be moved to second page and be forgotten. So my suggestion is to admin please create a sticky/pinned topic called "Roadmap" separated in four groups, Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4, for those that don't know what that means, Q stands for quarter of the year. One example: Q1: Idea #1 - PLANNED Idea #2 - COMPLETED Idea #3 - IN TESTING Idea #4 - IN PROGRESS Idea #5 - IN PROGRESS After creating the roadmap you will need to respect the deadlines that you put yourself and deliver what promised, of course sometimes not everything goes as you planned but if you even complete 60% of what you promised that would make us all very happy, at least we will not be kept in the dark. The same thing must happen in the board "Bug reports" but the priority must be higher over there. Thank you

I'm new to the game too. Only been here 3 weeks. TL;DR, I don't do roadmaps. The problem, as a programmer, is that it's basically impossible to know in advance how long a task is really going to take. Someone might ask me, "how long is it going to take to fix X bug?" Until I look at it, I have no idea what's wrong, and even less idea how long it will take to fix it. I could pull a number out of my ass and say "2 hours", but really that's just a guess with no basis in anything. When it ends up taking 10 hours, now the whole schedule is off. And those things pile up over time. You may say it's okay to only complete 60% of what you promised, but that's not okay with me. Because here's how that really works... Even though you finished 60%, nobody thanks you for it, and meanwhile a dozen people are hounding you constantly asking when the other 40% will be done. Been there before, and it sucks. So now that I run my own show, I don't work like that anymore. The way I work is like this: I keep track of all the bugs, all the new features I'd like to do, and all the other ideas, in a big list. I prioritize them by importance. I assign an expected "difficulty" rating (low, med, high). Then I go to work. If something is really important it will move to the top of list, regardless of difficulty. Other times, I may take a break and do something really easy just for the heck of it. (Like the Santa unit... it was super easy and I basically did it on a lark.) But whatever it is, I never, ever commit to a due date. I just keep working as much as I can. (as my wife would attest... I'm a terrible workaholic.) You might be surprised to know this but I have read almost every forum post that's been posted here since I came on board. I've lurked in the chat. I've gotten a ton of PMs. I'm keeping track of it all in a massive list, which I'm actually still in the process of prioritizing. Some ideas I'm not going to do. But many of them, I will. That said, everyone is going to have to be patient because, unless/until atWar starts making enough that I can afford to pay for outside developers, all you've got is me and Clovis and we both have other jobs to do as well. You won't get a roadmap from me, but I'll give you broad brushstrokes on what I have been/am doing: 1) since day-1 (i.e. 3 weeks ago), I've been working on some important server/security issues behind the scenes. Nobody is aware of it because it goes on in the background, but believe me I've spent a lot of time already. (I still am.) 2) I added new moderators and am improving moderator tools. I'll be adding supporters next, and after that probably a couple more mods as well. 3) Clovis is working on the map editor. 4) I will be testing out some strategy changes soon, because it's relatively easy to do while I'm working on other more difficult stuff. 5) At some point down the road, once the map editor is in pretty good shape, and many bugs have been fixed, we'll launch some marketing. (I have a marketing person helping me with a plan already.) 6) Other than that, I'll just keep going down the list and/or we'll see what comes up along the way. Trust me, this is not my first rodeo. It's taken me many years (and a lot of jobs) to understand what does and doesn't work for me. So sorry, no roadmaps here, this is just how I work. Cheers, Dave

I see, I totally respect that, but I can't lie, it was good to know what you are working on right now , maybe you can do it on monthly basis, like "surprise we are making X" I wouldn't mind to help programmatically on small task even though my background is on websites and mobile apps I pretty sure I could handle some tasks if you are interested.
